The Crescendo Builders’ process of custom home building uses a systems approach to the buyer process. We have taken a confusing and unpredictable process and made it smooth, systematic and fun, every step of the way. From the moment you walk through our doors to the time you turn your key in the door lock of your new home you feel cared for every step of the way. Let’s explore our eight step process to new home ownership:
STEP 1 INITIAL MEETING- CHOOSE YOUR FLOOR PLAN
You can start the process in the comfort of your home by looking through our on-line library of homes and using FLOOR PLAN SEARCH to find the home that is right for your family lifestyle and that fits on your lot. You can save your favorite plans to SAVE TO MY FAVORITES to share with your family and to use during your first meeting with us. During this meeting we will discuss any changes that you would like to incorporate into making this home a custom home for you.
STEP 2 LOT INSPECTION
A meeting at your lot is designed to discuss the placement of your new home and identify any potential development issues and cost related to developing your site for your new home.
STEP 3 FOLLOW-UP MEETING
At the Follow-up meeting we will review your plans, initial selections and allowances for land development. During this meeting you will have a clear understanding of what is included in a Crescendo Builders home. You will also be presented with our purchase agreement and various other legal documents the comprise the legal understanding of your new home purchase.
STEP 4 – COLOR SELECTIONS
Let the fun begin! Based upon your lender’s prequalified loan amount, this is the time to select colors, textures and features. With our ONLINE CUSTOMER ACCESS PORTAL you can begin looking at customization choices for your new home. You will be able to narrow your favorite selections so that when you meet with our staff your selection process goes smoothly.
STEP 5 PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING
We will review your house plans, your selections, and what to expect during construction. We will make a joint site visit if needed to review any last minute issues. We will review the construction schedule and show you how to use our ONLINE CUSTOMER ACCESS PORTAL to see weekly updates on the construction schedule, progress pictures of your new home and to submit any questions that you might have during construction.
STEP 6- PRE-DRYWALL INSPECTION
You will be have the opportunity to verify that the in-wall selections you made have been installed. You will gain a greater understanding of your mechanical system and the energy performance standards that are built into your new HIGH PERFORMANCE HOME.
STEP 7- PRE-CLOSING ORIENTATION
Unlock the door to your future! Once your home is completed, you will walk your new home with your field manager to make sure everything is just the way you wanted it and to identify minor areas that need our attention. After all the minor areas are addressed, it’s time to learn how your home functions and how to take care of all the equipment with your personal orientation. Where is your moving van? It’s time to move in!
STEP 8 WARRANTY AND SERVICE
Our Warranty is TWICE as big! You can’t get rid of us so fast. We give your TWICE the warranty service of any other builder in our area. Our two year Fit & Finish Warranty is a bumper-to-bumper warranty period. You will have our ear using your secure ONLINE CUSTOMER ACCESS PORTAL web portal for things that need to be addressed during your 60 day, 11 month and 22 month home inspections. We also give a five year structural warranty. We do not subcontract out our warranty service to a third party. We want to know if you are experiencing a problem and make sure it is fixed the right way.
